Amalya Stone

Practice Coordinator

Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Amalya (pronounced like Amelia but with “ah” in the middle) has been living in Asheville for the past ten years. She has spent many years working consistently at the Asheville Jewish Community, where her passion for both administrative work and community-based relationships blossomed. Over the years, she also spent time in the manufacturing and hospitality  industries, which brings a unique aspect of efficiency, organization, attention to detail, and customer care to her work here as the Practice Coordinator.

Both in and out of the office, you’ll find that Amalya likes to bring a bit of whimsy to the day. Her colleagues describe her as the glitter glue that keeps it all together. Check the whiteboard at the Downtown office to read her joke of the week, or ask about her latest embroidery  project and she will gladly reach into her project bag to show you. Her favorite part of being on the Lantern team is getting the opportunity to connect with community members and make lasting relationships that go deeper than just “going to the doctor’s office.”
