Lisa Varno

MMEd, E-RYT, Certified Integrative Health Coach

Lisa holds a Master of Education degree from the University of Hartford and was a public school music teacher for ten years. After receiving training from Duke Integrative Medicine and UMass Medical School, she transitioned to a focus on mindfulness meditation, yoga, and integrative health coaching, including creating and facilitating a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) curriculum at Confluence Behavioral Health, a wilderness therapy retreat center in Thetford, VT.

Through the whole person, research-based approach of integrative health coaching, Lisa guides you to explore your vision of optimal health and to develop achievable action steps to reach your goals in any area of your life that affects your health (e.g. personal and professional development, spirituality, relationships and communication, physical environment, nutrition, movement/exercise, rest, mind-body connection).

Lisa strongly believes the coaching relationship is a means to empower community members to make sustainable lifestyle and behavior change. She offers a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental space while creating an equal partnership with her clients. With the unique blend of coaching and mindfulness practices, clients experience a sense of wholeness and vibrancy, engaging in life with greater presence, balance, and ease.
