Our Team

Mariah grew up in a Coast Guard family and moved often, but she counts Cape Cod, Massachusetts as home. The mountains and the pace of life in Asheville brought her here in 2021. She earned a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in sustainability, and later completed certificates in both histotechnology and clinical medical assisting.

Healthcare runs three generations deep in her family, and carrying that legacy forward is something she’s genuinely proud of. Her own path started in veterinary medicine before she pivoted to caring for humans, who in her words bite less and talk more, with several years in laboratory settings and urgent care along the way. Primary care suits her because it looks at the big picture of a person’s health rather than a single moment in it, and she has a particular interest in dermatology and enjoys assisting with in-office procedures. She especially values how personal and transparent the direct primary care model feels — appointment lengths that make sense and follow-through that actually happens, for the patient and the care team alike.

Outside of work, Mariah has several pets and volunteers with Asheville Humane Society taking adoptable dogs out on hikes. She also paddle boards, plays video games more than most people would guess, and works steadily through a stack of fiction on audiobook.
